Helmsdale Kitchen Garden (HKG) is a community and primarily voluntary based project
Helmsdale Kitchen Garden, inside the polytunnel.

Helmsdale Kitchen Garden (HKG) is a project designed to incorporate the production of fruit, vegetable, herb and fungi, whilst increasing the biodiversity and habitat space for local wildlife. We also aim to provide an opportunity for people to learn!

The kitchen garden is a Helmsdale and District Development Trust project and was initially conceived in 2013.

We are a community and primarily voluntary based project, designed to bring fresh, organic and tasty fruit, vegetables, and herbs to the local community and businesses as well as creating a space for increasing the biodiversity and habitat of local wildlife. We also aim to provide the opportunity for learning about various types of gardening and wildlife knowledge.
