No About me I completed a PDC in 2012 - but have been involved in countryside management, woodland work, environmental campaigning etc for many years. I am currently based in Northumberland and have a small-holding literally on Hadrian's Wall, where I grow a lot of my own food, at 210 metres above sea level on a south west facing, fairly exposed site. The site became a LAND centre at the end of 2019. It is also my base for grafting and growing apple varieties from the region. I am currently teaching various elements of permaculture, organising Introduction to Permaculture courses and now building the curriculum to teach my own PDCs. I have a focus on trees and woodland management, and also with soil. Having previously founded and run a development charity working in Romania for ten years, I have visited to help teach a PDC out there. I manage various areas of woodland in my locality, including reinstating a coppice rotation in Hazel; and am also operations director of Living Woods North East CIC, a local non-profit that works to engage people with creating, caring for and connecting with woodlands.
