I'm a passionate permaculture educator and community grower, currently serving as the Skills & Learning Coordinator at Grounded Community in Boscombe, Bournemouth. I hold a Permaculture Design Certificate and am working towards my Diploma, integrating permaculture principles into all aspects of my work.
My background is in secondary science education — I'm a qualified Physics teacher — and I bring that structured yet adaptable approach to teaching. Over the past five years, I’ve led and organised a wide range of workshops on food growing using permaculture principles at The Secret Garden, a vibrant community space managed by Grounded Community.
My interests include urban permaculture, community resilience, growing food in small and shared spaces, community composting, urban retrofitting, rainwater capture, compost toilets, and working with disadvantaged groups in deprived urban settings. I believe permaculture can be a powerful tool for regeneration — both of land and of community.
Through Grounded Community, we’re working to create a circular food system rooted in growing, sharing, and preserving surplus — and education is central to that mission.
