About me

Hi!

I'm based in Roscommon in the mid-West of Ireland where I'm running a Permaculture design consultancy and training regenterprise called 'Earthcare' (www.earthcare.ie). I provide Permaculture deisign consultancy and some project management and implementation to private landowners and community groups and initiatives.

I also teach Permaculture courses, intro's, PDC's, teacher trainings, often in collaboration with other tutors and practitioners and I am a tutor for diploma apprentices in Ireland. I am beginning to look at longer term learning partnerships such as internships - especially with people local to me. I am a 'certified educator' with the Permaculture Association.

My newest initiative is leading a 6 month long Permaculture Design Course based in county Roscommon where I live. This course piloted in 2021/22 and is due to run again starting September 2022. The course is one keystone part of a bigger vision towards a thriving local permaculture community and social enterprise which could accelerate regenerative change locally.

My background is in Organic farming and food growing and in more recent years teaching both in local community and around the country. I'm living in a self-built tiny home on the farm where I grew up which is now largely mixed woodland, and we are starting a community supported agriculture element to the farm this year (2020)

My interests include: Permaculture for personal & community development, Compassionate farming, Rewilding and Regenerative land management, Community led change, Permaculture health & wellness, Spontaneous people-led initiatives, Animal welfare,

I did my first PDC in the U.K with Designed Visions in 2009, while living and working on a permaculture farm in France. Soon after that I returned for an advanced design course and also did a training of teachers course.

I was awarded a Permaculture diploma from the UK Association in 2015.
