A learning and study centre in the South Downs

A centre of learning and a source of inspiration, resources, expertise and solutions for building a sustainable world.

We strive to educate, enable and inspire people from all walks of life to make positive changes to the way they live and work. As part of this vision we aim to manage our land, our charity and our businesses as working examples of sustainability. We practise and promote sustainability as a process of making decisions which balance economic, social and environmental factors for positive benefit.

We are a bustling, yet peaceful site with a series of small scale ongoing projects. TheseĀ  include a small forest garden, several food growing areas, chalk grassland recreation and enhancement projects and willow beds. We have two roundwood timber framed buildings, often used as teaching spaces. Campers, school children, course participants, funeral attendees, cafe visitors and many more people enjoy our site, whilst being immersed in sustainability at every level.
