A family house and garden

Foxfield is a family house and 1 acre garden where many of the projects for a Permaculture Diploma were designed and implemented, and many more have been created since gaining LAND Centre status in 2014. A variety of interconnecting elements are demonstrated including:-

Forest gardens, chicken and duck 'forage' gardens,

No-dig vegetable gardening, weed harvesting, seed saving,

Self watering polytunnel, self heating home-built greenhouse,

Mini greywater reedbed, rainwater harvesting system,

Willow and hazel coppicing for fuel and materials

Crafts such as wool spinning, hedgerow basket weaving, cider making

Sustainable building techniques - cob apple store,  strawbale roundhouse, 'wattle and daub' compost toilet

Wildlife habitat creation  including natural wildlife pond making

Solar PV, Solar thermal systems,  solar & rocket stove heated shower and hot-tub

Meditation and Listening in Nature techniques
