Small Coastal Farm practising permaculture and regenerative agriculture

Bryn a Môr is a very special place on the beautiful south coast of ancient Dyfed, with an Iron Age Fort and Cairns on the headlands either side. The coastal path spanning two counties is on our doorstep, with spectacular views of the ocean all around. Adjacent to Bryn a Môr is a secluded cove, which at low tide allows walking access to two large sandy beaches. We are flanked by a National Trust Woodland which is also a Site of Special Scientific interest.

At Bryn a Môr we work with the wild edges of nature, practising permaculture and regenerative agriculture. We have a wealth of experience in stewarding an abundant biodiverse landscape, with a particular passion for tree planting, raising free range animals and growing food.

Our first year here at Bryn a Môr has seen us gaining the advice of ecologists to ensure our actions support the web of life already present here, including slow worms, Dartford Warblers, red kites, Tawny owls, badgers, Peregrine Falcons, pheasants, orchids and diverse grasses. We have cleared some of the dominant gorse to start the process of creating a mosaic of habitats, allowing livestock and horses to graze amongst the rare coastal scrub.

Our approach is holistic and grounded in practical experience, having developed our smallholding at Lammas for 12 years prior to our move here. From a barren over grazed sheep field our Lammas property became a haven for wildlife, vibrant with insects, invertebrates, honey bees, hedehogs and myriad birds. From this background we have come to Bryn a Môr with an open mind, observing this unique landscape, with a view to encouraging nature’s abundance to thrive. We aim to sustainably support our family, and provide visitors with an immersive nature experience they will never forget.

Our main business is willow growing & basketry, orchard and forest garden, small scale poultry, we are starting commercial veg growing, and aim to keep sheep and cattle as well.

We are looking at developing a CSA on site in 2023. We offer workshops, camps, eco-stays, and venue hire. Please email to contact us about how you may wish to get involved.
