About the project

EMPOWERING MOTHERS AS AGENTS OF CHANGE TOWARD ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY IN A DIGITAL ERA

Mother Nature - Empowering mothers as agents of change toward environmental sustainability in a digital era is a project funded by the Erasmus + project of the European Union that builds on the Mother Nature - Empowering Mothers in their personal transformation project, previously founded in 2017

Mothers are increasingly aware of the looming climate crisis and are fearful of the world for their children. This project aims to create and share learning tools, including digital tools and resources to support mothers in becoming agents of change in their families and communities: in being proactive with strategies to initiate thinking, behavioural and cultural changes in tackling climate change.

A BOOK: MOTHERS AS NATURAL LEADERS OF OUR TIMES
The Mothers as Natural Leaders book explores how we can use the transferable skills that we gain as mothers to be agents of change towards environmental sustainability. The world is facing numerous complex challenges and a new style of leadership is necessary to help us navigate these.

In this book we give tools to bring agency into our personal leadership, to guide our family culture, to be proactive in our communities. All together these weave possibilities for a new global leadership centered on Earth care.

Through this project, we want to empower mothers to become agents of change towards a more ecological way of living - and we consider mothers not only adult learners, but also change agents, with a great influence on their immediate communities, their family's lifestyles and children's future habits. Addressing digital transformation became more important during the COVID pandemic when mothers became even more isolated and need even more peer support and community. Through our project results, women, and mothers across Europe will gain tools and competencies to enhance this connectedness through digital means, and use innovative digital learning tools.

Mother Nature Guide Book and Cards

Free sample
The Mother Nature project has been successfully completed in February 2020. For the project we have produced a Guidebook and Card Deck to nourish and empower mothers on their journey.

This Guidebook is a collection of 42 principles: daily affirmations that help us to be present and aware of our journey of motherhood. They are elixirs, a-ha moments, distillations of our joys, struggles, challenges and learnings from our lives as mothers. Each principle has an explanation, reflective questions and activity.

The beautiful Card deck is illustrated by 42 powerful images created by Eszter Laszlo, our team member. Motherhood is a time of joy, challenges, growth and transformation. The Mother Nature cards will guide, nourish and empower you.

Filled with heartwarming, enchanting, powerful images to engage your intuition and innate wisdom. They are combined with 42 concise, relevant principles and affirmations that have been harvested from the collective intelligence and experience of many mothers. See a sample of the cards here.
