Course summary

Hosted by the East Kent Permaculture Learning Centre at Abbey Physic Community Garden a long time Permaculture LAND Demonstration site. The theme is around everyday Life. We will cover the full curriculum with experienced and passionate Educators, Specialist guests, inspiring site visits and immerse ourselves in beautiful examples of Permaculture Living.

This 6 month Permaculture Design Certificate aims to be deeply supportive and toward exploring how your life can align even more with Earth replenishing practises and be happier and healthier too. We have a huge amount of expertise in our team and wider supportive community to help make this happen in our lives, businesses, jobs and communities.

We will learn about Permaculture Principles, Ethics and Patterns. See how they can be applied to your life, land and work. It will include practical, hands on sessions, foraging and many other fun activities that all explore this inspirational and empowering design system. Learn nature inspired solutions

We have many inspirational trips planned including the beautiful Pines Caylx rammed chalk building, beyond zero carbon and Brogdale national fruit collection. We have many amazing knowedgeable guests.

A robust bridge from Industrial paradigm to designing the more beautiful world we know is possible. 

The first April weekend, which can also be an Introduction. Even if you have done an introduction before this will be an Overview of the whole course and a deep introduction to the Design process.

The last weekend will be a Design weekend bring it all together. 

 May , June and July we will spend a weekend each on Land including Growing food, rewilding, soil, water, plants. One weekend on the ecological

Biological including Growing food, foraging, unshopping, rewilding, soil, plants. 

Built. Including eco buidling techniques, eco retrofitting, energy, water and stuff! 
Behavioural. Including Community, relationships finance and economics, life, death and parenting and stuff! 

Between them the key facilitators have been passionate about Permaculture for over 50 years!!! We are not even that old really! We have a lot to share from birth and death to growing food, building, foraging and everything else in between. We bring in others that know more about the things we don't too.
