Course summary

In the troubled times we live in, it is more important than ever to build bridges that transcend divides of geography and culture so that we, as global citizens, can come together to effect the change we want to see, to take control of our own futures, and to relate to each other and to the environment in a nurturing and enhancing way.

Permaculture Design is an opportunity to do just that, giving us the tools we need to design an abundant future and to join hands with a global network of practitioners, sharing ideas and inspiration to create the world we want to live in.

Taking place at the stunning Tyddyn Teg Community Farm, close to Snowdonia national park in North Wales, this course will place special emphasis on concepts of resilience, rootedness and global community. Bringing together a dynamic and international team of teachers from Palestine, Kashmir, Wales and England, we offer a unique opportunity to explore these concepts in depth, giving both local and global context to the application of permaculture design.

The course will also include visits to Henbant Bach, a holistically managed livestock farm on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula, Pen Y Bonc, a beautifully managed smallholding, and to Cae Mabon – the Welsh Shangri La with input from project founders and visionaries.

Together with an immersive experience at Tyddyn Teg community farm during the height of the harvest season, our combination of lectures, practical activities, design exercises and site visits will ensure that students receive a thoroughly rounded technical training from a diverse array of experienced teachers and practitioners, covering all aspects of the PDC syllabus and plenty of opportunnity to see permaculture in action in different and inspiring ways.

We are excited to come together to offer this unique course and warmly invite participants from all corners of the world and walks of life.
