Running several times a year, this two-week intensive covers the complete 72-hour international PDC curriculum with a balance of theory, hands-on activities, and an individual design project. The course is perfect for anyone looking to weave permaculture into their lifestyle, whether you dream of creating a garden, managing land, or simply growing food more sustainably. During your stay, you’ll live as part of our off-grid community, enjoying wholesome organic meals and the option of daily yoga or fitness sessions. Our 52-acre teaching farm is a living example of permaculture in practice, featuring food forests, agroforestry systems, natural buildings made of cob, straw bale and cordwood, and the integration of animals such as sheep, pigs and chickens. Every participant develops a personal design project, ensuring the course is directly relevant to their own goals. Past projects have ranged from balcony gardens to larger food forests, and from family plots to worm farming systems. You may choose the standalone two-week PDC, or extend your learning by staying for a full month, adding courses in Natural Building and Permaculture in Practice. Graduates receive an internationally recognized certificate in Permaculture Design, confirming their knowledge and practical skills in sustainable design. With this certificate, you will then be able to: Apply for an internship position at Keela or other Permaculture centres Enrol in the Certificate for Applied Permaculture Program Join the Permaculture Diploma Program Certified teachers Laurence Manchee Xana Rodrigues Xana Rodrigues - Co-teacher Eric Conrath - Soap Making Becky Macdonald - Fermenting & Sustainable Cooking Jonathan Ives - Forestry Raquel Perdigão - Foraging for wild greens + our teaching apprentices Apprentice teachers This course is open to offers from apprentice teachers wishing to gain teaching experience Course type Permaculture Design Course Engagement style Face to face Postal address of venue 1, Vale Leitao, mata da rainha 6230-810 Fundao Portugal Course contact email [email protected] Contact name Laurence Manchee Contact telephone number 960188968 Share this course Copied to clipboard
