Permaculture Design Course (PDC) at Keela Permaculture Farm

Our certified Permaculture Design Course, accredited by the Permaculture Association, runs several times a year and follows the full 72-hour international PDC curriculum. This two-week immersive course blends classroom learning with hands-on practice and a personal design project, making it ideal for anyone wanting to:

• Apply permaculture to their own land or garden
• Start a new project or farm
• Grow food in a sustainable way

🌱 Live Permaculture in Action
Stay on our 52-acre off-grid farm, where permaculture systems come to life. You’ll experience:

• Food forests, agroforestry, and regenerative farming
• Natural buildings built from cob, straw bale, and cordwood
• Integrated animal systems with sheep, pigs, and chickens
• Nutritious organic meals daily, plus optional yoga or calisthenics

🌱 Your Personal Project
Each student develops a design project tailored to their own goals—whether it’s a food forest for your land, a balcony garden, or even a worm farming system.

🌱 Flexible Learning Options

• Two-week PDC (standalone course)
• Or extend your stay for a one-month program, adding courses in Natural Building and Permaculture in Practice

🌱 Recognized Certification
On completion, you’ll receive an internationally recognized PDC certificate, opening doors to future opportunities in permaculture design and teaching.

With this certificate, you will then be able to: 

• Apply for an internship position at Keela or other Permaculture centres
• Enrol in the Certificate for Applied Permaculture Program
• Join the Permaculture Diploma Program
