Course summary

2 Day Introduction to Permaculture, focusing on creative solutions for the kind of marginal land we have here in the West of Ireland.
This course is based around practical activities supported by short, focussed theoretical sessions to help you gain a good understanding of how to apply permaculture to our unique climate and landscape.
Learn about Permaculture; the ethics and principles of Permaculture Design, how to approach laying out a site, and practical applications onsite including: Wind and Water management (how to design wind breaks and swales), Introduction to Food Forests, Extending the growing seasons, Growing Mushrooms, Composting Systems, Polycultures and Guilds, and no-dig gardening.
This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in Permaculture, and how you can apply it to marginal land to create sustainable abundance.
