Course summary

Taking place at the stunning Hen Bant Bach on the Llyn Peninsula, close to Snowdonia national park in North Wales, this course will place special emphasis on concepts of resilience, rootedness and global community. Taught by a dynamic and international team of teachers, including Mohammed Saleh from Palestine and Marit Parker from Wales, and led by Alice Gray who has spent the last 10 years in the Middle East working as a development consultant and grassroots environmental activist, we will be exploring these concepts in depth, giving both local and global context to the application of permaculture design.

Further teaching support will be added by Matt Swarbick, who specialises in livestock production and Mark Chapman who is an expert in agroforestry and silviculture.

The course will also include visits to Tyddyn Teg (www.tyddynteg.com), a community supported agriculture project specialising in intensive vegetable production as well as Felin Uchaf (www.felinuchaf.org) and Cae Mabon (www.caemabon.co.uk), both stunning examples of natural building and visionary approaches to environment and culture.
