Board discussion topics
These are set annually in advance and cover a range of issues and challenges. This allows the trustees to keep current of core areas of work, education policy for example, and organisational best practice. Each Board meeting aims to cover two discussion topics.
Members are welcome to send information, proposals or written evidence that they feel would be of benefit for trustees to review before or during the discussion topic.
Papers and presentations that are used will be made available here soon after each discussion.
12/13 February
1.Enhance our communications and networking – tactics - perceptions of the Association – internal and external.
2.Outreach – active networks – members and making use of people near but not members – new working groups – e.g. Design(ers) Working Group.
16/17 April
3.Accessibility, access, routes in for different people. Dyslexic, social, economic, cultural etc.
4.Research
10/11 September
5.Exploring organisational models. (Inc. Scotland and Wales). Generating income streams – livelihoods etc.
6.Futures – creating resilience in the organisation and network.
