Venue: Henbant Permaculture Farm, WalesDate: Saturday 8th JuneTime: 10am- 5pmPrice: £20 (£12 for Permaculture Association Members) Lunch and refreshments will be provided About Henbant Henbant is an 80 acre, permaculture inspired and holistically managed farm situated between the mountains and the sea in North Wales. They produce eggs, beef, pork and veg and fruit from over an acre of Market Garden a Permaculture Kitchen Garden and 1 KM of agroforestry. They are community centred and work with teams of local and residential volunteers and interns as well as paid staff through the year. They have some beautiful low impact buildings that are used for eco-tourism. The Farm has lots of interesting examples of successful (and less successful) adaptations to work with nature, produce food, build biodiversity, bring people together and still be enjoyable to manage. Venue website Wales Regional Skillshare Event Webpage Additional venue information Accessibility Henbant is able to offer disabled/ accessible parking, a quiet space for people to take time out, an accessible toilet, a large screen for presentations and can accomodate service animals. The teaching space and gardens are quite wheelchair accessible but the the whole farm tour isn't. Even though the farm yard and gardens are quite accessible we are very much a working farm and so things may be possible they aren't perfect. The whole farm tour does require walking over rough and often muddy ground. Please bring outdoor clothing suitable for a good hour of outside time and be prepared for some mud. Getting Here Our nearest train station is Bangor and our closest easy bust stop is in Penygroes. The T2 goes through here for people traveling by bus within Wales and we can easily pick people up from there. We are able to offer camping and some limited accomodation to participants. There is the option of creating some additional activities on Sunday for any participants that would like to make a weekend of it. Please indicate on your booking form if you are interested in this option and we will put you in touch with Matt.
