With fantastic food stalls: Don Kitchen, Suburban Peasant Noodle Bar, Katherine’s Veggie and Vegan, Leatherbritches Brewery Bar and Whistlewood’s own Tea, Coffee, cordial and Cake Stall there is plenty of choice so please support our catering when you are there as part of our fundraising.

There will be lots of Family entertainment. We suggest bringing a gazebo if you have one (and think you might need it!), chairs, torches and rugs for later.

Your entry to the festival can be free if you volunteer to help. This could be manning the front desk, helping with parking, helping with one of the stalls and much more. Do you have special skills that might help us? You also get a token worth £4 to spend on Food and Drink. If you would like to volunteer please contact us at mailto:[email protected]

Additional venue information

Whistlewood is a ten-acre community-owned Woodland in Melbourne, South Derbyshire.

The site is designed along permaculture principles (a sustainable design framework) so that it will work for people, for wildlife and be a welcoming space for people of all ages and backgrounds.

We hold events and run workshops and provide educational opportunities that help people understand how to live more sustainably. Our rural ten acre site encourages an appreciation of nature and the outdoors, by being part of it, not just an outside observer. The site also hosts events that bring our community closer to make it a better place to live and help us face future challenges.
