The design of the Handbook is based on zonation - chapters in volumes that are sequenced in the appropriate zone, e.g. stove, hay box, hygeine and nutrition are inside the house therefore zone 0; nurseries, pit latrine, kitchen garden etc. are near the house i.e. zone 1-2, etc.

An example of one of the chapters in the Handbook is available here to view - the chapter about Waste Water Management.
The Handbook is the creation of Chris Evans and Jakob Jespersen, along with many farmers and development workers in Nepal.
