Join the Permaculture Association today to help us empower people to design thriving communities across Britain, and support permaculture worldwide.

Permaculture needs people who work in their community, neighbourhood or workplace to change things. This can sometimes be a challenging role to take on - people often like things as they are and don’t see the need for change.

Members networking

The good news is that there are millions of people working across the world to help make it happier, healthier and fairer - you won’t be alone!

Here is what you could do and resources we offer to support you:

  • Key to permaculture’s success is networking. We can provide you with lists of other members in your area. Just contact us. The ‘people, projects’ places section on this website will also provide links to other people and groups near you.

  • Become a Permaculture Ambassador and tell people why you are passionate about permaculture. We will support you along the way to develop your skills and spread the message widely.

  • Permaculture Works, the members' newsletter, is published four times a year. Share news, thoughts, ideas, methods, and designs. You can contribute.

  • Do you feel you know enough about permaculture to teach an introductory course? We can provide you with Introductory course materials and give you some advise on how to best go forward. Click here for more...

  • Add your profile to the website to tell others who you are and why you are interested in permaculture. You can also advertise courses, workshops, events, jobs and opportunities!

  • Introduce new people to permaculture by visiting a LAND Project from small, private tours to larger group visits (often in return for a small donation).

  • Volunteer with us. You could, for example, get involved with one of our working groups. You could be helping with our farming working group, helping us with social media or with office tasks. Just get in touch and we can talk about current opportunities.
