Course summary

One of the first steps in Permaculture design is observation: a deep and extended practice of listening to the landscape. A part of this is learning to mindfully engage with nature through our own bodies: listening with our senses; touching the earth; feeling the warmth on our skin; listening to the wind in the trees; feeling the edges of our own physical self blend with the edges of the world around us. Yoga, as a practice of engaging with our own bodies, can help us revive our awareness of ourselves as a constitutional part of the natural landscape we inhabit.

During this weekend course we will explore the shared space created by the practices of yoga and Permaculture. Together, through practice and open discussion, we will begin to unveil how the wisdom of both can be interwoven to enhance the well being of ourselves and the earth.
It is essentially about movement through the landscape on all levels, allowing ourselves space to feel how our own rhythms: our breath; our pulse, reflect and connect with the rhythms of nature.

The course will be held in the beautiful garden of Springhill House, within the tranquil Oxfordshire countryside, surrounded by fields and woodlands for us to explore.

Both days will run from 10am to 5pm. We ask that everyone please bring food to share. Morning & afternoon tea will be made from fresh garden herbs, and there will cake and fruit available. The weekend will include a range of practices and will flow according to what is needed by the group. We will be working largely outside so please bring clothing for all eventualities – more details on booking!
The course is £180 for the weekend, some concessions are available please email us for details.
