This certified PDC comes in an evening class format to be more accessible to those with home and work commitments. It takes place every year in Birdwood House, central Totnes on Wednesday evenings from mid January until late March. Sessions are led by Caroline Aitken and Seema Patel, with guest tutors. The course also includes 3 weekends on activity. The first weekend includes visits to Martin Crawford of the Agroforestry Research Trust in his 2 acre forest garden in Dartington; the REconomy Centre in Totnes with talks from Hal Gilmore and Jay Tompt about the Transition movement and alternative economics and the Waterleat micro-hydro project on Dartmoor- community energy scheme. The other two weekends will include practical design activities including mapping, site surveys and design work.
