Stone Letter Carving Workshop

This pleasantly meditative craft is a wonderful way to work with stone to explore the beauty of lettering. Carved stone can have a profound effect on your garden, home or workshop.

This stone letter carving course will introduce you to the basics of letter carving and perhaps even start off the journey into a new hobby or even a new vocation!

We will be learning the basics in letter drawing and letter carving into local lake district slate from Burlington quarry. On Saturday, we will begin by focusing on drawing different letter forms, before we move into carving the V cut letters that we have drawn onto the slate. By the end of the weekend you will have a piece of your own carving to take away with you!
