Roundwood Timber Framing - (Part1) Woodsmanship, Design & Planning

Selecting trees, making shingles, milling timber, foundations, building design and planning.
4 day intensive course. You’ll have a 1-to-1 project planning consultation to explore what shape your own building project might take. Also we’ll be in the woods selecting trees, making oak shingles and milling planks. During this course we have the option of a site visit to a real build and also discuss foundations and planning.

The course is held at our lovely wood yard, the place where all our building projects start. Amazing organic meals are prepared fresh on site by our fabulous chef, Katherine. Camping is in the woodland or fields behind the yard. However on occasion we have a real build going on at the same time in which case we’ll re-locate there. Notice will be give asap.
