Reading the landscape

A day learning the principles of surveying land using basic equipment to clarify permaculture design processes.
The morning will be spent in a class learning about the land, soil types, and environmental effects, followed by a practical session of building the equipment to be used.
After lunch there will be a practical session where participants will use the equipment and actually survey a section of land to be used for a community project and create a design.
