Pruning

We will look at restorative pruning of mature trees, regular pruning of shaped trees and initial pruning of young trees.

It is by kind permission from the Mayhew family that we will have access to their well established orchards. There are a variety of trees in different stages of growth so there will be a lot to learn about here and plenty of opportunity for hands on experience.

This course will also cover tool use and maintenance and health and safety.
