(nearest transport Kentish Town on northern line, Gospel Oak overground, Kentish Town Thameslink)

As the days draw in plant growth slows so it hardly seems like the best time to expect to have substantial crops of fresh greens. However, this workshop will explain how by planting seeds now you can ensure you have a variety of nutritious, tasty leaves to harvest through winter.

As well as learning about why now is a good time to plant you’ll be able to take a selection of unusual autumn salads to take away and sow at home for your winter crops.

These will include: a variety of mustards, winter purslane, land cress, endive and chicory
