Cost
The centre works on the Buddhist prinicple of Dana (Generosity).
Non-returnable deposit of £250, payable at booking.
Additional donations can be made at the end of each weekend , and at the end of the course. Participants are encouraged to give what they would enjoy giving, having benefitted from the learning durign the course and experience of the centre.

Join us for 4 weekends of immersive permaculture at a Buddhist retreat centre You can look forward to

  • Learning about how nature works, at a stunning conservation site with many ancient trees  
  • Practical and design projects in the walled gardens, cottage and the wider site
  • Contact with the renovation of historic buildings using ecological techniques
  • Site visits to an inspiring permaculture frm and a groundbreaking forest garden

Your teachers Jed and Tomas have years of experience in permaculture, forest gardening, eco-renovation, land restoration and co-operative living. Tomas is author of the groundbreaking book "Forest Gardenig in Practice" and contributor to Permaculture Magazine.

Alfoxton Park is a Buddhist, land-based retreat centre in the UK, drawing inspiration from nature and the arts where people can awaken to the depth and breadth of human experience. We're based in a magical location in Somerset, Southwest England.
