The course will take place at Park House, on 12.7 acres of parkland, woodland and gardens, 3.5 miles from Norwich city centre (25 mins cycle). We will build design skills in seven broad learning areas; forest gardening, kitchen garden/homesteading, buildings retrofit, woodland management/agroforestry, water management, regenerative agriculture, and perma-economics. To support the application of permaculture principles we will be including specialist tutors (as guests or visits) who will offer design knowledge on woodlands, buildings, garden design and perma-economics.
Three off-site visits are also planned. One will be to the Norwich Farmshare, (local Community Supported Agriculture project. Second will be to Barsham Old Hall Ecocentre, and the third to a local coppice woodland restoration project.
