‘Permaculture for the Rural African Communities; Low tech solutions for development of food security in rural communities’ will be led by Tichafa Makovere Shumba.

The PDC will have a special focus on the application of Permaculture to rural African communities where the successful application of PC is a way to generate long term food security and thus develop community empowerment. Using SFEL’s models, looking at the PKSP schools and considering Konso’s own renowned indigenous agricultural system for design examples, our PDC is of particular relevance for application of PC to rural development, indigenous communities and or the developing world in general.
