The day includes a design workshop and networking opportunities

This CPD day will extend understanding of permaculture design and enable participants to apply this approach in their work. It will be of interest to landscape architects, other built environment design professionals, and students.

Outline programme:

9am Arrivals, registration and coffee
9.30 Introductions to the day, tutors and participants
10.00 Session 1: Values and principles of permaculture
11.30 Break for 30 minutes
12.00 Session 2: Permaculture applications and case studies
1.00 Lunch
1.45 Session 3: Observation walk and participant design project

4.00 Session 4: Integrating permaculture into your own practice / professional work

The morning is about getting familiar with the fundamentals of permaculture design with some examples, and then the afternoon is about integrating this into thinking and practice. An excellent lunch is provided at no additional cost.

What to bring: a clipboard and something to write/draw with. Digital recording is encouraged so bring your camera, audio and video recording kit. We'll be walking outside during the day.
