Course summary

Thanks to the highly successful introduction to forest gardening at Auchencairn in autumn 2014 (as seen on the Beechgrove Garden TV programme), we have a few people who enjoyed the course so much they would love to continue to complete the full design course in 2015. And we'd love more folk to come join us!

Permaculture is an inspirational design system for creating sustainable human habitats. On this course you'll learn about the permaculture ethics and principles and how they are applied in practical examples of permaculture design from gardens to playgroups. We will learn in depth about some elements such as plants (including growing and foraging them), water, soil (including creating fertile soil naturally), and people (and how to work with the nature of people). The full course will culminate in you creating an inspirational, sustainable design with a focus on minimum effort for maximum effect.

In this first ever Permaculture Design Course led in Auchencairn, it will be a one of a kind opportunity to find out more about permaclture design in this inspirational setting, with a beautiful young community forest garden!
Permaculture Design course on Alternate Tuesdays starting 27th January 2015.
Following the modular system it is possible to just do the introductory two days and then decide if you would like to continue with the full design course as certified by the Permaculture Association (Britain).

Lusi Alderslowe as lead tutor with guests including Graham Bell, Mark Williams, Fiona MacDougall.
