Course summary

The course will take place at Park House, on 12.7 acres of parkland, woodland and gardens, 3.5 miles from Norwich city centre (25 mins cycle). We will build design skills in nine broad learning areas; forest gardening, kitchen garden/homesteading, building design, woodland management, agroforestry, water management, regenerative agriculture, community food growing, and perma-economics. To support the application of permaculture principles we will be including specialist tutors (as guests or visits) who will offer design knowledge on woodlands, garden design, agroforestry and perma-economics.

Three off-site visits are also planned: Wakelyns Agroforestry Research Centre, Barsham Old Hall Ecocentre, and a local coppice woodland restoration project.
