Course summary

This intensive one day course will cover the origins of permaculture and focus on how working with natural systems is a viable solution to environmental problems. Permaculture directs us toward developing our understanding of the natural world to design productive environments that work with nature & community. The introduction will include:
• permaculture ethics & principles
• systems, energy & design cycles
• observation exercise
• By the end of the day you will have a rounded understanding of what permaculture is and be able to apply permaculture methods to home, work, life, garden or community projects.
The day will be a lively, participatory and thought provoking experience with Claire White http://www.clairewhitegardens.co.uk/ forest garden designer & permaculture teacher. The course will take place in the Yurt, in the inspiring setting of Spitalfields City Farm. Cost: Full: £60. Cons: £30.
