Course summary

This PDC will guide you through the origins, development and application of permaculture. We will explore the ethics, principle, design tools and methodologies which will enable you to create holistic systems, both land based and social, in order to work in harmony with nature and for the benefit of our planet, its creatures and people.

We are situated in the beautiful countryside of Brittany in Northern France. With its green fields, forests, gentle rolling hills and quaint villages, you will not find a more welcoming space to learn and unlearn.
We have 3 teaching areas that we use and all are unique and different. We specialise in smallholding, woodland management and integrating animals into our systems. We also use tools like holistic grazing management and so much more.

Our classes are designed to be relaxed, interactive and fun. We look to cater for all learning styles.
The course will include curriculum topics presented using a variety of methods which will include lectures, discussions/debates, hands on activities, group projects and site visits.
You will also be able to get hands on experience in a number of special projects we are will be running.

We welcome people of all ages, background and levels of experience: please come with an open mind and be prepared to learn, share and enjoy meeting like-minded people.
Teaching will be conducted in English.

We will have feature sessions with guest teachers, and at least 2 or 3 site visits over the course which will show you some amazing local permaculture projects in action.

Camping is included in the cost of this PDC, however there are a variety of other accommodation options available in the local areas which will be priced seperately, just get in touch and we can provide more information.
Hearty and delicious vegetarian lunches will be served, and food is either grown at Afrinoon Permaculture or sourced from the gardens of our community Association
