Course summary

Make compost that’s ready in just 18 days!
Make teas and feeds for your vegetables and the garden!
This workshop is a day of hands-on learning about the hot compost technique, or Berkley method.
We will also look at the worm composting system and how to get the best out of vermiculture.
Finally we will make a few compost feeds and teas which are both organic and high in nutrients and helpful bacteria for the garden soil.
These amazing methods create live, rich humus by cycling local materials, unlike the pasteurised composts that you buy at most garden centres.
The hot compost method is effective at killing weed seeds and diseases helping to keep your soil biology thriving and pest free.
After all, top soil is one the best assets of a productive garden.
