Herbal Medicine Day

We have invited Jesper Launder to show you the world of healing medicinal plants and mushrooms. Jesper is a Medical Herbalist and an absolute authority when it comes to herbal medicine and we are very excited he will come and share his great passion with you and develop your skills.

This course is an opportunity to work with nature’s medicinal treasure chest, producing a selection of the most useful herbal products from fresh and dried herb material. We will explore the rationale behind using both internal and external herbal preparations and will work in groups to make such herbal products as tinctures, creams, ointments and syrups.

The majority of this session will be held indoors, however we will have the opportunity to explore the growing spaces of the Biospheric project, where we will learn about the medicinal uses of the herbs that we find there, both wild and cultivated, and make a small harvest for converting into our herbal products.
