Course summary

Full Permaculture Design course over 6 weekends, Jan-May.
This is our 14th Edinburgh Permaculture Design Course with lead teacher James Chapman.
James runs fun, informal and interactive sessions and always gets extremely good feedback from the students.
This year we are using various venues in Penicuik and James' varied site , Willowburn Lea at Leadburn. We'll be learning about trees, soil, water, map making, plants, forest gardening, woodland management, buildings, social permaculture and doing hands-on practicals. We'll also be visiting a number of establsihed permaculture sites. The whole course gets rounded off with a design project and the option to camp over at James' home at Leadburn.
We have 3 prices depending on your income, from £525 - £865. We offer a potential bursary to help with costs for those who need it most and are also introducing the Extended Training Scheme. The Extended Training Scheme provides the option of working along side our teachers doing practical work for an extra 12 days. This may suit you if you have a low income, have spare time and want to gain some practical, hands on experience. This scheme costs £30 for the 12 days practical training and the PDC, plus a returnable £120 deposit.
