Course summary

Forest gardens are everybody's favourite idea of low-input, high-output growing. This 5-day course will give you a good understanding of the theory and practice of this approach. It will show you how to plan, plant and maintain a forest garden garden. You will get a chance to delve into the ecological basics that make good forest gardens so successful, try your hand at practical maintenance work in Old Slenningford's well-established and super-productive garden and get help in designing your own forest garden if you wish to do so!
Suitable for beginners and those with some experience.

Tutors:
Tomas Remiarz has worked with forest gardens for 15 years and is involved in permaculture trials of vegetable and perennial polycultures.
Rachel Benson has been running the forest garden at Old Slenningford since 2004.
