Course summary

A learn and do day!
We will be learning about the basics seven layers of this woodland edge system and the importance of perennial food plants. We will assist John in beginning planting up a forest garden at Rifleman Cottage.

We will learn about the origins, philosophy and basics of this Permaculture 'technique'. Claimed to be the most productive way to grow food and useful plants, it is a system of minimum work, maximum yields once established. It also has potentially unlimited yields as more and more diversity can be built into the system. We will also go foraging and see this as an essential skill for the 'forest gardener'.

Participants should feel confident in the next steps to creating and maintaining their own after this session.

Delicious lunch and refreshments included.
