This weekend will cover a wide variety of subjects areas and activities that will enable you to design and set up your permaculture garden, forest garden or simply to start to grow your own food. It will cover how to use zoning and other tools in the process of designing your garden or site, whether it’s at home, at school, or at work. The weekend will include various practical sessions from simple surveying and drawing methods, to practical woodland management and gardening skills. It will also cover other subjects such as community food projects, aquaculture systems and design for dry climates. For those who are staying at Rippledown for the whole weekend, there will be extra discussions, videos or other activities in the evenings, adding to the enjoyment and enriching experience the core course material provides. For anyone who has already completed a PDC this weekend will help review your knowledge in these important areas as well as adding additional depth through both the experience of the tutors and the range of exercises that will be included.
