Emily Peacock's lovely artwork!
It is a community farm run by a Workers’ Co-op. The new team came together in March 2016, and are in the process of applying permaculture design strategies to the project, from both land-based and invisible sector perspectives. As well as feeding ourselves, we supply organically grown veg on a weekly basis to 60 families from our local community, 2 shops and 1 restaurant.
We have plenty of space for basic camping. There are compost toilets and central kitchen facilities in the Events Barn.
Please note there are no showers as yet.
Programme will include:
- Camp-fire, acoustic music and opening circle
- Farm tour with farm-tech and intensive growing surgeries
- 'Increase the Edge' sessions with presentations by Farm Connect and the Land Workers Alliance
- Decolonising Permaculture Discussion
- Technical workshops (bee-keeping, forestry skills and more)
- Open Space (structured opportunity for all delegates to convene whatever workshops and discussion groups they want)
- Saturday evening will double as our Summer Festival with a Bring-and-Share meal with our community, a ceilidh, live music and dancing.
- Optional volunteering activities Sunday pm for those who want to stay.
Gathering ends Sunday lunchtime.
