Deano Martin I am a full time smallholder and permaculturist, living on a 4 acre smallholding in Lincolnshire (http://sustainablesmallholding.org/ ).Our smallholding is a LAND project (http://permaculture.org.uk/people-projects-places/project/wolds-woodland-farming-project ).I hold the diploma in applied permaculture design, and am a member of both the Diploma Working Group, and the Research Advisory Board (Fields Trials).I am currently running an association research project looking at sustainable grain growing, and have proposed another project to map where in the UK we can grow soybeans.I want to use the experience that I gained in a 23 year Army career to help develop the Association’s planning and strategy, particularly in relation to the collation of knowledge, and an expansion of its research effort.
