Regional Skillshare Events 2024 Are you involved with a community project? Would you like the opportunity to learn practical skills for running a successful project from some of the most established and inspiring permaculture projects and LAND Centres in our network? Join one of our regional skillshare events and enjoy an interactive day of networking and learning at a permaculture project in your area. Are these skillshare events designed for me? These events have been designed to support community based, local projects to develop good practice in the areas of running an educational programme, teaching practical skills, volunteering for wellbeing, developing a regenerative livelihood, project planning and delivery and engaging the local community in your work. You are welcome to attend as many of these events as you like. This event is designed for you if... You run or work at a local project, charity or social enterprise and want to develop key areas of practice You are involved in a community based, permaculture, or transition group and would like advice and support from more experienced projects You want to meet and network with other likeminded organisations in your area You are thinking about setting up a project and want to learn how it can be done well You are doing a project design as part of your Permaculture Design Course or Diploma What should I expect on the day? Each event has been designed to be really spacious and to give you lots of time to meet the other participants, talk about your project and ask questions. The morning sessions will include include a project sharing session and a presentation from the host project about their area of expertise and how it is practically applied at the project. You will enjoy a delicious lunch, followed by an in depth project tour. In the afternoon, there will be a workshop style session, where you will be supported to think about your learning with regard to your own project. We will end with sharing, feedback and a look at what our next steps could be as a group. There will be refreshment breaks throughout the day. Each day has been designed to be as spacious as possible with plenty of breaks and quiet spaces, where you can take some time out if needed. There will be a friendly member of the team to be be on hand to help you if you have any needs or concerns on the day. However, we want to make you aware that some of these sites have limited parking, uneven ground and paths that are not fully accessible for wheelchairs.
