Continuing to build on past years’ very successful Annual Gatherings, this one will have exclusive use of the site from Friday evening through to Sunday.
It will offer a varied programme of workshops, talks, discussions, videos, opportunities to share ideas and contacts, entertainment and food.
Workshops will include: Newtown Project; Forest Gardening seminar; Seed-saving; hot composting; mulching
The venue
Ashfield is a 7.5 acre horticultural site. Volunteers come to help grow fruit and vegetables for the local market using natural methods. Ashfield is a not-for profit organisation and all money from sales helps with running costs.
It also has referrals from organisations for the beneficial, therapeutic space and activities. With support, several micro businesses and research projects have set up here; - aquaponics, 'Local Roots' Forest School and Kutis herbal skincare plus Ashfield is now running a new project called Seed to Saucepan.
