About me

A lifelong organic grower I first learnt about Permaculture from a film of Sepp Holzers project in Austria. That led me to an Introduction to Permaculture with Phil Pritchard at Braziers Park Community where I was living and a year later I did my Permaculture Design Certificate also at Braziers Park in 2012 with Looby MacNamara, the Permaculture for People version. An intensive and changing two weeks.

I taught my first weekend Introduction to Permaculture at Braziers Park in 2015 teamed up with the very experienced John Baker and collaborators from the Braziers Park Community. It got excellent feedback and we all had an amazing weekend of integration, sharing, teaching, learning and fun. The courses keep developing in depth and content and we continue to offer two fully booked weekends a year at Braziers Park - There are always a couple of concessions - so ask if you are on a very low income. We also usually have a place for an apprentice teacher who has completed their PDC.

I have used permaculture in small spaces designs including pots, a balcony, an old wheelbarrow and a canal boat as well as larger scale designs in the grounds of Braziers Park where I was involved in water harvesting, hedgelaying, barn building, wood fired district heating, organic food growing, switching to ethical suppliers and group process work amongst other sustainability endeavours. I use permaculture design principles in planning generally for work, teaching, life planning and all kinds of projects.

I am teaching two weekend courses at Braziers Park in July and September 2021- see Braziers Park website or the course listings
