Saleema Imam

First met permaculture in Sheffield in 1996 on a certificate course at Brambles housing co-op. Illness caused me to drop out for a while but I re-charged my batteries on a design course on the Isle of Man with Rod Everett and Mill Millichap, where I also later presented my diploma portfolio. I have delivered several introduction to permaculture weekends and full design courses over the years, some as apprentice and support tutor with Angus Soutar; others as lead tutor with visiting experts. My main areas of expertise are re-use and recycling and urban community links.
Currently working with the Friends of Burngreave Cemetery to create a community facility within a former mortuary chapel and to improve the biodiversity within the cemetery. ( currently installing beehives.)
