About me

Co-founder of Transition Leytonstone
Teaching Introduction to Permaculture from March 2012

I have been interested in permaculture since the late 80’s, when I was teaching environmental studies at a university in Japan. Since then it has continued to be a theme running through my life and work. I am interested in how permaculture principles can be applied to our lives as households and communities.

Since my return to London I have bought a dilapidated Victorian house, which I have been renovating as my own eco-project. I have a tangled garden full of fruit and herbs, and also an allotment.

I co-founded Transition Leytonstone in September 2009 and continue to work towards helping to create a sustainable local community, along permaculture lines. I completed the Permaculture Design Course in April 2011, and am now studying towards a diploma.
