Diploma Tutor Skills

I have lived, worked and immersed myself in permaculture in a wide variety of settings and contexts.  After completing my diploma whilst travelling between permaculture projects around the world, more recently I live and work from a 7 acre homestead in west wales.  This home and project has given me several years of direct experience in restoring degraded land through regenerative agriculture practices such as rapid soil building and through cover cropping, hot, cold and fermented composting, plant ferments and rotational grazing. I also love to geek out about windbreak designs, coppice and woodland planning, tree management, perennial gardens, food forests, no dig gardening and food preservation.

I teach online and face to face courses, ranging from introduction and foundation courses right through to PDC's and corporate trainings, so can support apprentices with course planning and preparation if this is one of their passions for a design project. One of my specialisations is in permaculture for educators of children, and through Children in Permaculture I co-facilitate an annual PDC for educators, which attracts educators, parents and home schoolers around the world. I am also passionate about rewilding and redesigning school grounds to support ecoliteracy and encourage a nature based curriculum.

I love to find inventive ways to find solutions to any problems that arise,  and use the design process in all areas of my life, so have a great deal of experience in living through my designs. I feel blessed to be able to work as a permaculture tutor and be able to support others in finding ethical and intelligent solutions to all of the challenges and opportunities that life invites us to face.
