Notes about contacting me

I generally prefer email as it keeps an audit trail of communication. NOTE: due to the volume of email I receive, I am sometimes slow to respond.

About me

I run a small software business and am a freelance educator. I regularly work in Leeds and Nottingham, and further afield when the opportunity arises. I was the Permaculture Association's Learning Coordinator between 2009 and 2017.

I have worked extensively in Europe to connect and develop the European permaculture teachers' network, which has involved projects such as the European Permaculture Teachers' Partnership.

I helped to establish - and now live at - a low impact, affordable co-housing development in suburban Leeds, called LILAC, where I'm involved in landscaping, learning and financial teams.

I hold a Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design. You can see my portfolio here.

I hold an MSc Architecture: Advanced Environmental & Energy Studies. My thesis explored the possible impacts of proposed changes to the planning system for Low Impact Developments in rural England & Wales.
