About me

I've been interested in permaculture since 1997; in 2006 I did a one day a month course over a period of 10 months at PEAT(an educational charity) in Felindre near Hay-on-Wye. I got to know Paul Benham and his project well & provided a range of voluntary inputs. These included acting as a trustee for the charity for 2 years.

Forest gardens are my particular passion. Since the winter of 2007/8 I've been gradually establishing a food forest in the rear half of our approx. 70' garden. Initially, I planted 7 fruit trees on a variety of rootstocks. Since then I've added a variety of soft fruit bushes & climbers. In 2011 & 2012 I've gradually added a range of perennial vegetables.

During the next year (2013) I plan to visit 1 or 2 LAND projects. When I retire from F/T paid work (end of 2013) I plan to undertaking further training in PC & want to get in touch with others who live in my part of the world.
